Mark Your calendars The Championship Committee has made the decision to move the MT State LMSC Championship Swim meet from Butte to Missoula. The reasons are that we could not get enough officials, either on deck or for the administrative functions to hold the meet in Butte. The Bozeman Masters Swim Club is seeking a head coach. Here is a brief rundown of the duties: Write workouts appropriate for the skills and speeds of each workout group. Provide on-deck supervision and instruction at all workouts (currently three days a week) year-round. Facilitate record-keeping and fee collection. Head up membership recruitment and on-boarding activities. Charlotte Sanddal sets national and world record at Huntsman

Charlotte Sanddal sets national and world record at Huntsman

Charlotte Sanddal traveled to St. George, Utah last month for the Huntsman World Senior Games. In addition to setting several Montana LMSC records at the meet (see latest SCM update), she also set a USMS national record and a FINA world record for women 95-99 in the 200 meter individual medley (short-course) with a time of 9:32.59. The national record has been confirmed. The world record won’t be updated until 60 days after the swim. Congratulations, Charlotte!

U.S. Masters Swimming has released the preliminary top ten booklet for the 2017-2018 long course season. Please review it. Ackley and Hastings continue to rewrite the record book

Ackley and Hastings continue to rewrite the record book

Ella Ackley and Pat Hastings traveled to Orlando, Florida recently to compete in the 2018 UANA Pan American Masters Championships. While there, they set a total of five state records. Hastings broke two W80-84 records formerly held by Charlotte Sanddal, in the 200m breast and the 200m I.M. Ackley broke three W75-79 records formerly held by Hastings, in the 50m free, 200m free and 200m back.
