DESCRIPTION:Mark Your calendars \nThe Championship Committee has made the decision to move the MT State LMSC Championship Swim meet from Butte to Missoula. The reasons are that we could not get enough officials\, either on deck or for the administrative functions to hold the meet in Butte. \nThe meet will now take place at the University of Montana Grizzly Pool (the same place as last year) on Saturday and Sunday April 6 & 7. We plan to have the meet info sheet online no later than Monday\, March 4. We will notify you as to the link for event as soon as it finalized. There will be a block of rooms reserved for Masters swimmers and that information will be on the meet info sheet. We are please that Northwestern Energy will be our major sponsor this year. \nWe apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause\, but hope to see everyone in Missoula on April 6 & 7. Our LMSC State meeting and a social will be held on Saturday night. The link to online entry is available on www.inlandnwmasters.org and the meet information is attached here.. \nApril 6th is UIdaho Mom’s Weekend in Moscow which means there will be lots going on for your non-swimmer travel buddy to do; however\, overnight accommodations will be at a premium. We encourage you to take advantage of the Chinooks’ hospitality with our empty nesters. A fun evening social event with music and food is planned at the 1912 Center on Saturday evening.

If you swim the Sprint Distance you may swim one of the other events for no additional charge.

DESCRIPTION:8/20/17 – \nUSMS writes.. \nThe USMS stroke development and improvement clinic is for swimmers of all abilities. All four strokes are evaluated and corrected with the use of drills and coach instruction. Several of the top area coaches will be on hand\, along with mentor coaches selected by the USMS national office and Education Services. The goal of the clinic is to help swimmers improve stroke technique and teach drills that will enable the continued refinement of the strokes. Swimmers are not required to swim all strokes and may work on only those strokes they choose. Swimmers need to bring fins\, suit\, goggles and a towel. Fins are important because without them many of the drills may be difficult. Fins help create buoyancy and mild propulsion.If you have hand paddles\, please bring them too.
