Montana Swimmers at the 2017 Masters National Championship

The 2017 Masters Swimming National Championships were held in Minneapolis August 2nd-6th. Several Montanans were national champions including: Patrick Murtagh 60, who won the 100 meter butterfly in the 60-64 age group with a time within 1.4 seconds off the world record, Peggy Stringer, 66, won the 1500 meter freestyle in the 65-69 age group; Patricia Hastings, 82, won all her events in the 80-84 age group, including 1500 and 400 freestyle, 50 and 100 backstroke, and the 50 and 100 breaststroke; and Charlotte Sanddal, 95, won all her events in the 95-100 age group, including the 800, 400, 200 freestyle, and the 200 breaststroke!
